Attorney General Investigates David Hooks' Death
Spartacus Legal has learned that an investigator from Attorney General Sam Olens' office will be in Laurens County on Tuesday, 17 March 2015 to begin interviews with the family of slain grandfather David Hooks. The Hooks case was referred to Attorney General Sam Olens by Dublin Judicial Circuit District Attorney Craig Fraser, citing conflicts stemming from close relationships in the case. AG Olens appointed Executive Director Chuck Spahos, of the Prosecuting Attorneys Council, as Special Prosecutor. The circumstances surrounding the death of this man in a "midnight" raid by the Laurens County Sheriffs Office have sparked outrage in the community, the State and the Nation.
